Once upon a time, there was a girl with dreams.
She lived in a small town in Eastern Europe, with her parents, grandparents and a younger sister. To the outside world, her life was just an ordinary as it could be. She was friendly and polite. Everything seemed ordinary and normal.
Yet she struggled with being understood. She couldn’t express herself and was often laughed at. She wasn’t pretty, rich or smart. She was different, weird and had surreal imagination. Nobody liked that. Overtime innocent jokes become bullying. Bullying become intimidation. Intimidation transformed into an eating disorder and depression.
Wrestling with her own thoughts, unsure of who she is, she moved with her high school sweetheart to United Kingdom. Different jobs changed her. Bad decisions, horrible attitude, low self-esteem, shopping addiction & family problems resulted with severe anxiety, anger management issues and a depression diagnosis. She had suicide thoughts. She felt lonely and unwanted. After years of therapy & self-building, she was ready to start again. This time with a help of antidepressants, change in priorities and removal of toxic surroundings.
Her head is now stimulated by her experience and she wants to use her own journey to help others struggling with mental health.
She is no longer a girl with dreams. She is now a woman on a mission.
I am Mila Key and this is my story.
